Central Supply Coordinator/Nurse Scheduler

At Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are seeking a highly skilled Central Supply Coordinator/Nurse Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for managing the central supply chain, ensuring that our facilities have the necessary medical supplies to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and fill supply requisitions and deliver to the unit.
  • With supervisors approval, order supplies from designated vendors.
  • Receive supply shipments and route packing slips to appropriate department heads.
  • Maintain an organized and neat storage area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
  • One year experience in shipping and receiving.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nurse Scheduler Responsibilities:
  • Fulfilling staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Recommends new approaches and effective scheduling practices for continual improvements and efficiency in staffing.
  • Advises and communicates with Executive Director and Director of Nursing of staffing, scheduling needs and/or shortages identified during assessment of nursing schedules.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Director of Nursing, Executive Director and Human Resources when it has been identified there is a potential leave or assistance situation with an employee.
  • May assist Human Resources and Regional Director of Human Resources with FMLA, ADA or leave of absence requests.
  • Handles various inquiries from Care Team Members regarding scheduling and provides solutions where needed.
  • Validates PTO availability with Human Resources prior to approval.
  • Keeping meticulous attendance records and assisting communicating if staff members accrue excessive absences and/or tardiness.
  • Communicate with unit managers and the Director of Nursing regarding floor orientation schedules for newly hired Care Team Members in the nursing department.
  • Checking time clock punch records against master schedules and noting the appropriate changes.
  • Signing time correction forms for events such as missing meal periods or forgetting to clock in/out.
  • Utilizing computer software to prepare, change and update the master schedule.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to; weekend and holiday rotation.
  • SRNA license required.
