Residential Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Advisor to join our team at Insights Training Group LLC. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our students, while also supporting their academic and personal growth.

• Supervise students to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Provide support and guidance to students in handling special problems
• Conduct dormitory meetings and maintain communication with students' counselors and instructors
• Attend staff in-service training sessions and other training or meetings as directed
• Establish a close working relationship with students, dealing justly and impartially
• Initiate and direct dormitory programs, utilizing Center services and activities to benefit students
• Motivate and direct students while setting example of proper dress and behavior
• Follow all non-health standing orders
• Transport students to various activities and events
• Maintain an environment wherein students and staff feel safe and secure
• Maintain logbooks as directed and authorized
• Participate in intramural programs
• Ensure students meet their evening schedule
• Provide support for safety and security on center
• Ensure that buildings are secure and clean at all times
• Conduct periodic checks and maintain order and discipline in his/her assigned dorm
• Maintain log of activities taking place during the shift
• Work towards meeting performance management goals
• Follow the CDSS/CSS/BMS plans and procedures daily
• Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins and Center policies and procedures
• Model appropriate employability skills for dress, language and work habits
• Adhere to required property controls policies and procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices
• Help students become more employable through continuous reinforcement
• Participate in PRH mandated staff training
• Perform other duties as assigned within the individual's scope and capabilities

• Minimum two years working with youth or related experience and/or training
• Above average public speaking skills and experience in same
• Above average verbal and written skills
• Above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Computer literacy
• Valid State Driver's License
