Job Summary

Sampson Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of buildings and other projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise workers and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to work schedules.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and crews to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and materials.
  • Inspect self-performed and subcontractor work for quality and correct construction methods.
  • Ensure that proper safety procedures and incident reporting protocols are followed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform strenuous physical labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Construction Superintendent will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions. The ability to lift 100 pounds and work safely around heavy equipment is required.
