Job Summary

Grizzly Excavating and Construction LLC is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing physical labor on heavy construction projects, operating hand and power tools, and assisting in the cleanup of construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, and signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Excavation and Grading: Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and identify construction materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to verbal instructions using company vehicles and or heavy equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement, and tend equipment and vehicles that pump concrete, grout, cement, sand, and aggregate.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Position requires employee to frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, handle objects, reach outward, reach above head and shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, bend, and frequently lift - carry - push - pull - move - drag on flat ground or steep slopes up to 100 lbs.
  • Qualifications: Must pass pre-employment drug test prior to working, project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct with Supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the general public, and have a valid Driver's License Preferred.
  • Working Conditions: This work is outdoors and range from frigid to hot temps, high winds, flying dust, slipping hazards, rain, snow, sleet, frequently exposed to loud noise from heavy equipment and machinery.
