United Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated IOP Clinician to join our team. This time-limited, grant-funded position offers the opportunity to provide direct services to children and families in a trauma-informed, systems-based approach.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessment and counseling of children, families, and/or groups with behavioral, emotional mental health, and/or substance use needs. Your primary focus will be on providing up to five days a week, three to four hours per day of IOP services, which may take place in the IOP setting, home, school, or office as needed. You will facilitate referrals and communication between agencies for other services on behalf of the child, attend team meetings to plan and monitor services, and provide screening, assessment, engagement, treatment planning, collaboration, referral, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based counseling techniques.

You will also be responsible for case management and service coordination, making home visits to support families as needed, facilitating communication between agencies on behalf of the child, attending team meetings to plan and monitor services, and coordinating with assigned care coordinators. Additionally, you will provide consultation services to teachers, school personnel, and community partners, as well as educational services to staff. Furthermore, you will maintain accurate clinical records, adhere to all UCS recordkeeping requirements, complete time sheets and other paperwork on a daily basis, and ensure that all documentation meets funded regulatory requirements, including Medicaid/Medicare and third-party standards. We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated salary range of $54,906 annually, based on industry standards and cost-of-living adjustments for Bennington, VT.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in a relevant human service field with some experience providing counseling services to families and children. You must be licensed or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional. Knowledge of evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Zero Suicide, is highly desirable. Valid driver's license and proficiency in typing, Microsoft Windows, and email usage are required.
