At United Counseling Services, we are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team. This rewarding role offers an estimated annual salary of $73,000-$83,000 based on location and experience.

About the Role

This position requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field, along with two years of relevant work experience. A professional clinical license in the field of specialty is also necessary. Qualified Mental Health Professional Certification must be obtained within one year of starting this position.

  • We provide crisis intervention services to mental health and substance use clients, including case management and counseling.
  • We consult and educate community agencies, schools, and the public about mental health and substance use issues.
  • We facilitate referrals for other services as needed and provide liaison services among community agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Crisis Assessment and Brief Counseling: Assess and provide brief solution-focused counseling to individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use crises.
  2. Clinical Case Management: Coordinate services with other agencies and providers, and facilitate referrals when necessary.
  3. Consultation and Education: Provide consultation and education services to community agencies, schools, and the public.
  4. Liaison Services: Facilitate coordination of services among community agencies.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Professional clinical license in the field of specialty.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional Certification (obtained within one year of starting).
