Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Asian Health Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct behavioral health treatment services to community severely mentally ill (SMI) clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health screening, crisis stabilization, individual/group/family counseling, and culturally relevant assessment and treatment.
  • Develop and implement initial and ongoing treatment plans for clients, identifying and pursuing necessary resources to support their care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, including brief interventions in the clinic and arranging for hospitalization as needed.
  • Conduct examinations and formulate diagnoses, participating in clinical case presentations and peer reviews.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care and modify service plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed and registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California as an LCSW, LMFT, LPPC, or Board of Psychology and Psychological Assistant.
  • Bilingual in an Asian language preferred, with experience in providing individual, group counseling, and clinical case management in API and SMI communities.
