Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work with youth and families to provide culturally informed and best practice modalities. You will cultivate relationships with community members, providers, and other support systems and provide crisis intervention as needed. Services will predominantly occur in-person within the San Leandro/Hayward/Union City/Fremont community, with the opportunity to complete some of your responsibilities remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Promptly meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to further treatment goals utilizing culturally informed and best practice modalities
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for the purpose of care planning and support
  • Collaborate with agency staff, caregivers, other professionals and interested parties to formulate and implement individual client care plans, behavioral programs, and interventions
  • Complete assessment and evaluation process of clients in order to develop and implement the care plan
  • Provide assistance in case planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, as well as casework issues, as appropriate
  • Chart mental health notes, care plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain availability for crisis intervention services
  • Participate in individual and/or group supervision
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in social work/psychology/counseling
  • Registered with California BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings and weekend hours as needed
  • Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Experience working with youth and families
  • Experience working with a diverse population
Benefits
  • Starting at $75,000 - $89,000 per year, commensurate with experience
  • Additional $4,000 salary increase for BBS licensure
  • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
  • Salary increases each year

  • Stipends provided to staff members participating in the emergency on-call shifts
