Patient Services Coordinator

BASS Medical Group is looking for a dedicated and personable Patient Services Coordinator to enhance our team. As the initial contact for our patients, you will be instrumental in providing a seamless and inviting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Registration and Appointment Management:
- Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism, both in person and via phone.
- Schedule appointments efficiently based on physician availability, patient requirements, and insurance protocols.
- Collect precise patient demographic and insurance details, ensuring data accuracy within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Confirm patient insurance eligibility and clearly communicate any potential coverage concerns.
- Send appointment confirmations and reminders through phone, email, or text.
- Patient Interaction and Support:
- Assist patients in completing necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, and insurance in a courteous and informative manner.
- Effectively manage incoming calls, directing questions to the appropriate staff.
- Oversee patient flow in the waiting area, minimizing wait times and addressing concerns swiftly.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments in accordance with established protocols.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and current patient records in the EHR system.
- Efficiently manage front desk operations, including filing, faxing, and data entry.
- Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks as required.
- Ensure a tidy and organized workspace, promoting a professional environment.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service or healthcare setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with EHR software is a plus.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and manage time efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor, committed to exceeding patient expectations.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Pay Scale:
