BASS Medical Group is looking for a dedicated and personable Patient Services Coordinator to enhance our office operations. As the initial contact for our patients, you will be essential in providing a seamless and inviting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Reception and Appointment Management:
    • Welcome patients with a friendly demeanor, both in person and via phone.
    • Schedule appointments efficiently, considering physician availability and patient needs.
    • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance details, ensuring accuracy in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
    • Confirm patient insurance eligibility and proactively address any potential coverage issues.
    • Send reminders and confirmations for appointments through various communication methods.
  • Patient Assistance and Communication:
    • Guide patients in completing necessary forms accurately and promptly.
    • Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, and insurance in a professional manner.
    • Effectively manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
    • Oversee patient flow in the waiting area, minimizing wait times and addressing concerns swiftly.
    • Process co-pays and other patient payments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administrative Support and Operations:
    • Maintain accurate patient records within the EHR system.
    • Efficiently manage front desk operations, including filing and data entry.
    • Assist clinical staff with administrative duties as required.
    • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace, promoting a professional environment.
    • Comply with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with EHR software is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to exceeding patient expectations.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
