Position Summary

As a Healthcare Claims Administrator, you will manage the claims and billing processes associated with our specialized programs. Your responsibilities will include preparing and verifying payments, invoices, and financial documentation, maintaining customer accounts, and ensuring precise data entry. You will also cultivate relationships with healthcare providers, synchronize processes with the claims team, and actively identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, verify, and document payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with billing protocols.
  • Generate invoices in accordance with company standards, maintain appropriate documentation, and ensure timely submission to clients.
  • Create comprehensive reports detailing the status of customer accounts.
  • Update and maintain customer files with accurate information to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with imaging and surgical facilities, acting as the primary contact for prompt payment and issue resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to align processes and ensure consistency in billing and claims management.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments, adjustments, and billing issues.
  • Assist with daily reconciliations, transaction processing, and maintenance of accounting records.
  • Submit claims electronically and via paper through the clearinghouse, coordinating with clinical and operational teams.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and implement effective solutions to mitigate escalations with business partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical coding, billing practices, and claims submission processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data entry skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with direct contracting or provider-payer relationships.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
