About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef Tournant to join our culinary team at Angel of the Winds Casino Resort. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality standards through consistent food preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure that each food order is uniform, consistent, and meets established standards.
  • Conduct quality control checks on food being cooked, including tasting, smelling, and observing.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Cook and prepare food according to recipes, ensuring adherence to established standards for food portions, sizes, and garnishing.
  • Review kitchen operations for improvements in food production and implement changes as needed.
  • Assist with coordinating banquets and other social functions, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experience.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with food preparation, plating, and presentation.
Requirements
  • Exceptional guest service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Two to five years of professional kitchen experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity and experience in high-volume cooking preferred.
  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent, with two to five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of HACCP guidelines for food safety, sanitation, and preparation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and a Washington State health card (food worker card).
