Executive Chef

Esperanto Developments is a dynamic hospitality management company that seeks a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food preparation and presentation of all food outlets in the hotel, ensuring that all health and sanitation standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are served to guests.
  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule employees to maintain adequate staffing levels while adhering to labor standards guidelines.
  • Develop and implement menus, including costing and recipe cards.
  • Ensure staff are trained in knife safety and proper use of equipment.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with banquets, parties, and other events.
  • Order and requisition food and equipment through approved suppliers.
  • Maintain health and sanitation standards and ensure attractive presentation of all food and dishes.
  • Assist in developing the annual operating budget and monitor forecast and flex purchases and labor.
  • Adhere to all brand required food standards, including menu specifications and brand signature breaks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years previous Hotel Executive Chef or Sous Chef experience
  • Serve Safe Certification
