Position Overview
The Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a dedicated PRN Vascular Technologist to enhance our esteemed healthcare team. This role focuses on conducting diagnostic ultrasound assessments and working closely with the medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key duties include performing specimen analysis, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the functionality of ultrasound equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of vascular ultrasound assessments as per physician directives.
- Recognize and analyze venous structures in both upper and lower extremities.
- Utilize Doppler technology to generate precise and high-resolution imaging.
- Support physicians during procedures in the operating room.
- Comply with established Patient Care and Safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or a certificate from a recognized vascular ultrasound program.
- Current registration as a Vascular Technologist through ARDMS or RVS with CCI.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Prior experience in vascular ultrasound is advantageous.
