Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned Trailblazer Business Development Executive with a proven track record of selling to federal government agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our business within the Civilian health and Defense Health agencies, with a primary focus on the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Departments of Defense (DHA, DHMS, and services), and Veterans Affairs in areas of information technology, training, data management, and analytics, and program management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute an account strategy for growth and win new business in the Federal Health segment.
- Ensure AMERICAN SYSTEMS is viewed favorably and a partner of choice in the eyes of both the customer and teaming partners.
- Identify opportunities with high PWin potential, qualify opportunities, and work with our capture and delivery teams to win.
- Oversee the development and execution of customer call plans.
A typical day in the life of a Federal Health Account Executive includes:
- Proactively identifying new funding and business opportunities.
- Performing market research to qualify new opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining a "value-added" working relationship with internal stakeholders.
- Meeting with clients and building positive relationships and customer affinity.
- Delivering presentations and communicating to internal and external audiences.
- Attending key industry association and customer-sponsored events.
- Cultivating strong relationships with proven external partners for the purposes of teaming.
- Identifying early key customer trends to proactively leverage capabilities to help the company grow.
- Managing responses to government market research inquiries (e.g., RFIs, SSNs, etc.).
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8+ years of experience selling into Federal Health agencies, specifically DHA, DHMS, HHS, or VA. Additionally, they will possess the ability to manage multiple customer relationships and a requisite opportunity pipeline, as well as organize and coordinate customer meetings, RFI responses, and participation in industry events.
Knowledge of Government contracting, acquisition trends, and customer buying behaviors is essential, as is a strong familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and contracting mechanisms, including IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, JVs, and others.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $130,000-$175,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
