Position Overview:
Join the Crim Fitness Foundation as a member of the Neighborhood Impact VISTA Program, dedicated to fostering leadership and revitalization in Flint's communities. Our mission is to combat poverty by enhancing economic opportunities within the neighborhoods where Flint residents reside.

About the Program:
This innovative initiative is rooted in the belief that urban design, accessibility, and policy are crucial to improving the quality of life for Flint's residents. The Neighborhood Impact VISTA Program is perfect for individuals aspiring to build careers in urban planning, community development, social services, or human resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and analyze community needs assessments to ensure the voices of residents and stakeholders are heard.
  • Facilitate community engagement through forums, block parties, and interactive workshops to gather diverse input and recruit volunteers.
  • Develop resources and systems that empower community members to organize and promote revitalization efforts, including cleanups, park restorations, and food distribution initiatives.
  • Enhance the accessibility of community development strategies, such as the City of Flint Master Plan.
  • Create engaging and informative materials, including brochures and newsletters, to effectively communicate community development strategies.
