About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our engineering consulting firm, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of complex projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Engineering and Design Efforts: Oversee the engineering and design of HVAC, Plumbing, Temperature Control, and Fire Protection Systems.
  • Building Load Calculations and Energy Simulation: Perform building load calculations, energy simulation, and analysis to optimize system efficiency.
  • Equipment Sizing and Selection: Conduct equipment sizing and selection for various building systems.
  • System Design and Development: Design steam and hydronic heating, chilled water cooling, and ducted air distribution systems.
  • Plumbing System Design: Develop Plumbing Systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste, acid waste, and stormwater systems.
  • Temperature Control System Design: Design Temperature Control Systems with proficiency in pneumatic and electronic actuated systems.
  • Compliance and Code Enforcement: Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes in all design activities.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software for accurate and efficient design.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to initiate and coordinate design disciplines, ensuring project success.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities within a team-oriented environment.
  • Task Prioritization and Management: Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Communication and Documentation: Communicate effectively through well-written documentation and verbal presentations.
  • Professional Development: Maintain a Professional Engineer License and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 Years of Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in building system design and construction.
  • Expertise in Building Systems: Strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, Temperature Control, and Fire Protection Systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software.
  • Professional Engineer License: Professional Engineer License.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
