Job Summary

The University of New Mexico - Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Responder III to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work with individuals in crisis, providing assessment, intervention, and support to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive emergency client evaluations, providing assessment and intervention as needed.
  • Develop and maintain recovery-oriented therapeutic relationships with individuals in crisis.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based safety plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and case management services to community members.
  • Work as a team to provide mobile Crisis Now response to dispatches coming from 988 and co-response dispatches with local law enforcement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of directly related experience.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification.
  • LCSW, LPCC, or Marriage and Family Therapist licensure.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to various work sites. The successful candidate will be credentialed by the UNMH Credentialing Committee and may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain situations.
