About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior R&D Chemist to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of new products, working closely with our R&D management and senior R&D staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Lead the development of new products, including the formulation of coatings and the evaluation of surfactants, dispersants, defoamers, and fillers.
  • Experimentation and Testing: Plan, execute, and evaluate results from experiments, both lab and production scale, in consultation with management.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare all required reports as instructed and ensure compliance with Design Control Procedures, Safety Policies, Environmental Policies, and other facility requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Support and collaborate with all company personnel as directed to achieve the goals of assigned projects, and attend internal and external meetings and conferences as instructed.
Requirements
  • Education: A Chemistry degree, with a Biology degree also considered.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in product development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills: Demonstrated product development experience, SPC and root cause analysis skills, material analysis and testing knowledge, emulsion/dispersion experience, and a R&D mentality.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
