About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Chemist to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development efforts for assigned projects, working closely with R&D management and senior R&D staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead the design and development efforts for assigned projects, working closely with R&D management and senior R&D staff.
  • Experimentation and Evaluation: Plan, execute, obtain, and evaluate results from all experiments, both lab and production scale, in consultation with management.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare all required reports as instructed.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow all Design Control Procedures, Safety Policies, Environmental Policies, and other facility requirements where the work is performed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Support and collaborate with all company personnel as directed to achieve the goals of assigned projects.
  • Meetings and Conferences: Attend internal and external meetings and conferences as instructed.
  • Formulation and Evaluation: Formulate coatings, including the evaluation of surfactants, dispersants, defoamers, and both inorganic and polymeric fillers to create a stable and effective coating.
Requirements
  • Education: A Chemistry degree, a Biology degree may also be considered.
  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience, less experience may be considered.
  • Skills: Data analysis skills, R&D mentality, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable: Material science knowledge.
