Role Overview:
The Patient Access Representative I plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient access experience. This position involves interacting directly with patients to gather essential information, including financial, insurance, medical, and demographic details, to facilitate their registration process.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct face-to-face interviews with patients to collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
2. Provide support across various Patient Access areas, including Front Desk, Admitting Office, and Cashier.
3. Maintain high productivity and quality standards in all tasks.
4. Serve as a resource for training new team members and assist in implementing new processes.
5. Utilize Epic for registration and cash collection tasks.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with in-person or phone contact.
3. An Associate's degree may substitute for up to one year of experience; a Bachelor's degree may substitute for up to two years.

Skills and Competencies:
1. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
2. Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
3. Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
4. Basic knowledge of PC software applications and medical terminology.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to communicate effectively and exchange accurate information.
2. Capability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
3. Ability to handle physical records and operate office equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
