Role Overview:
The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in the patient access process, ensuring a seamless experience for patients upon their arrival. This position involves direct interaction with patients to gather essential financial, insurance, medical, and demographic information, facilitating their registration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face interviews to collect accurate demographic and insurance details.
- Cross-train in various Patient Access areas, including Front Desk, Admitting Office, and Cashier.
- Maintain high productivity and quality standards.
- Serve as a Super User and assist in training new team members.
- Provide registration and cash collection access using Epic software.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform tasks in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Capability to handle physical records and operate office equipment.
