About the Role:

Davita, Inc. is seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Provide direct one-on-one patient care to ensure a safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment experience.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients who receive treatment on average 3 times a week.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest dialysis techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in dialysis or patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Basic life support certification (BLS) or willingness to obtain.
