Technical Sales Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Pre-Sales Engineer to enhance our Data and Analytics division within the fintech sector of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. This role will primarily engage with our software offerings, including Eagle Accounting, Performance, and Data Management, as well as our innovative Data Vault solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Sales Engineer will conduct detailed product demonstrations and presentations for prospective clients across North America, effectively showcasing the capabilities and advantages of our software solutions.
- In addition to live demonstrations, the role includes the completion of incoming Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
- Lead the planning and execution of proof of concept (PoC) initiatives to illustrate the practicality and efficiency of our software in resolving client challenges. This involves activities such as data loading, identifying business needs, and presenting tailored solutions to potential customers.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or a related role within the software or financial services sectors.
- Familiarity with financial software solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) is advantageous.
- Proficient SQL skills; knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment is essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business management or a related field is required.
- Willingness to travel extensively is expected.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills are crucial. Previous experience in public speaking or delivering presentations is preferred.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field is mandatory.
