Position Overview:

The Installation Sales Specialist (also referred to as Technical Sales Manager) will report directly to the Regional Sales Leader or the Director of Sales within their designated area. This role is integral to a larger team focused on enhancing customer retention through strategic account management. The primary focus will be on engaging influential installation companies within the region. Collaborating closely with Territory Sales Managers, the goal is to provide valuable insights into installation practices to our existing customer base. Additionally, this position will work in tandem with the Business Development Manager to ensure that installation challenges do not hinder sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with key installation companies in targeted areas and protect our business interests.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the region by targeting installation companies and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition for customers moving to James Hardie by addressing barriers and enhancing their experience.
  • Leverage CRM tools to make informed decisions that drive year-over-year growth.
  • Support Territory Sales Representatives and the Business Development Manager in achieving additional volume growth.
  • Conduct market segmentation to assess and lead the customer sales process, utilizing available resources for solution development.
  • Build and nurture relationships, expand networks, and actively seek out potential leads.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all technical installation practices related to our product range.
  • Manage a priority-based schedule with prospective clients.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in attending key events within the assigned territory.
  • Engage in high-level networking across the account base.
  • Influence key stakeholders to advocate for James Hardie.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of company products and their installation practices, along with customer programs and benefits.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making in the market.
  • Effectively present and lead discussions in front of large audiences.
  • Exhibit a strong passion for personal and company success to meet or exceed established goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-touch sales environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, and/or Portuguese is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, discipline, and self-management.
  • Ability to convey construction expertise and knowledge effectively at job sites.
  • Robust sales mentality with a solid understanding of the sales process.
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Capability to influence key stakeholders to become advocates for James Hardie.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, from an accredited institution.
