POSITION SUMMARY

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to support the development and production of customer products. This role is crucial in ensuring that processes and operations align with customer requirements for electrical systems and components. The specialist will maintain product quality and address electrical issues related to harnessing and connectivity. Responsibilities include monitoring production, guiding assembly, and ensuring quality standards for electrical systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing engineering projects related to electrical systems, influencing objectives, timelines, and work schedules while facilitating communication within the facility.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in existing systems, focusing on harness connectivity and wire routing.
  • Review inspection results, failure reports, and customer documentation to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Conduct training sessions on testing customer products using provided test software.
  • Collaborate with production teams to investigate and troubleshoot product issues, perform advanced testing, and related activities.
  • Generate and review reports and documentation, making adjustments to operations as necessary.
  • Support Quality Assurance in addressing customer inquiries and assembly line challenges.
  • Provide responses to a variety of inquiries from suppliers, customers, and management regarding test results and corrective actions.
  • Deliver internal presentations and training as required.
  • Interpret and apply departmental policies, procedures, and relevant regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Lead staff in testing electrical systems and troubleshooting associated issues.
  • Identify solutions for products that do not meet specifications and halt further processing until issues are resolved.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and specifications, quality standards, and acceptance criteria for production personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments on electrical matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, with a minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience in the gaming or amusement sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of pinouts and harness-related electrical systems.
  • Background in sheet metal manufacturing or assembly line environments.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical drawings accurately.
  • Skilled in performing electrical tests, interpreting results, and diagnosing electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with wire terminators and connectors.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly with the MS Office suite.
  • Experience with ERP manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of eDrawings and SolidWorks is beneficial.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Trade school certification or degree is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is performed onsite.
  • Typical schedule includes a 10-hour shift from Monday to Thursday.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, and communicate effectively.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
