About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Controls Assurance Professional to join our team in the SOX Governance Office at Vanguard. This role is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of IT controls and processes, identifying and mitigating risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve compliance goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate material IT risks
  • Coordinate and lead control design walkthroughs and operating effectiveness testing throughout the SOX campaign lifecycle
  • Develop and update control test approach and criteria, including information produced by the entity (IPE)
  • Evaluate control risk ratings and completeness, sufficiency, and appropriateness of control-risk relationships
  • Collaborate with SOX GO COR colleagues, Internal Audit, and Risk counterparts to advance SOX campaign progress
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a business-related or IT-related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum three years related work experience, with knowledge of SOX concepts, practices, and procedures, and IT subject-matter proficiency
  • Experience with controls, audit, or risk within the financial services industry, corporate finance functions, or risk management highly preferred
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
