Job Summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialist to join our team and help build a new academic division under a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Teach, train, mentor, and precept residents and medical students in the context of clinical Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Consultative model allowing Maternal Fetal Medicine to attend deliveries if preferred but not required
  • Collaborate with Children's Hospital of Illinois and University of Illinois subspecialties
  • Develop and deliver academic presentations
  • Shared call
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • MD or DO
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois
  • Experience with mentoring and training residents and medical students
  • Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly activity

Academic offices are connected to a quaternary care hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, one of the most comprehensive neuroscience centers in the Midwest, and the largest children's hospital in downstate Illinois.

Faculty also have access to a world-class medical simulation center.
