About the Role
Cook County Health is seeking a highly skilled Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our team of exceptional healthcare professionals. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of our department, under the direction of the Department Chair.
- Ensure that our division provides a level of services that are of the highest quality and are comparable to national and local standards of care.
- Participate in Quality and Safety activities to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in maternal fetal medicine.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed as a Physician in the State of Illinois or must obtain license prior to starting employment.
- Valid Illinois Controlled Substance license prior to starting employment.
- Valid licensure with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration prior to starting employment.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited or equivalent residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; or must obtain Board Certification within 2 years of starting employment.
- Successful completion of an ACGME approved maternal fetal medicine (MFM) fellowship or anticipated successful completion of MFM fellowship is required before starting this employment.
- At least 2 years of previous experience.
