About the Role

AWS Cryptography is seeking an experienced software engineer to enable developers to build secure and awesome products.

This team is dedicated to making it easy for customers to build security into their applications.

The Code Signing team needs more engineers who want to change the way developers think of securing their code.

You will work with AWS customers and internal developers to secure and authenticate code running on Cloud, Desktop, Mobile, and IoT environments.

You will get the opportunity to change the way developers and customers manage code, turning a traditionally painful interaction to a painless and automated experience.

What You'll Do
  1. Work with AWS customers and internal developers to secure and authenticate code running on Cloud, Desktop, Mobile, and IoT environments.
  2. Get the opportunity to change the way developers and customers manage code, turning a traditionally painful interaction to a painless and automated experience.
  3. Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience with cryptography and computer security.
  • Experience working with cryptographic systems such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or key management systems such as Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
