Software Development Engineer, AWS Infrastructure Services

We're seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Incident Prevention team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale software systems that span tens of thousands of servers across multiple data centers worldwide.
You'll work closely with our team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the highest standards for safety and security.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to own the design and development of significant software components critical to our industry-leading database services. You'll also be responsible for mentoring other engineers and contributing to the growth and development of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Solve challenging technical problems and design innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
- Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products and research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, projects, and environments to have a firsthand impact on our global customer base.

Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Familiarity with AWS Services and AWS Operational Practices.
