We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Metering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems on top of AWS services.
You will work closely with our team to build new anomaly detection algorithms to detect and eliminate billing inaccuracies and help customers control costs. Your work will have a significant impact on our customers, with the potential to save millions of dollars in cost.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality, efficient, testable code in Java and other object-oriented languages.
- Build large-scale, highly-available distributed systems that can grow 10x every 3 years.
- Collaborate with AWS teams to build the software and services that simplify their growing billing needs.
- Own and operate the systems that you build based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements.
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of a Scrum team.
About the Team
Our team builds the services and features that enable event-metering, storage-metering, and derived metering for AWS. We also build one of the largest big-data processing pipelines in Amazon and continuously improve its scale and efficiency.
