Software Development Engineer, AWS Quicksight

Amazon QuickSight is a cloud-based business intelligence service that enables users to create and publish interactive dashboards and reports. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical parts of the service, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in designing and implementing scalable and reliable systems. They will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing new features and services
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on software development best practices
- Breaking down complex designs into granular tasks and estimating their completion time
- Aligning with senior engineers and principal engineers via well-written design and decision documents
About the Team
Amazon QuickSight is a high-visibility and strategic project, with a team based out of SEA. The team is passionate about AWS technology and our product, and is committed to delivering high-quality features and services. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex distributed systems with AWS Serverless and Micro-Service Architecture, and to influence decisions related to system architecture, feature development, and product strategy.
