Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Coordinator 2 to join our team at the Vancouver Housing Authority. As a Service Coordinator 2, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to address affordable housing and homelessness in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Provide general case management services to residents, including intake and resource connection with local agencies and service providers.
  • Service Coordination: Link residents to supportive services, including case management, personal assistance, transportation, counseling, and preventive health screening/wellness.
  • Program Requirements: Meet all assigned program requirements, including reporting, tracking, administrative functions, and educational requirements.
  • Training and Education: Educate residents on service availability, application procedures, and resident rights, and provide training to residents on tenancy obligations.
  • Team Collaboration: Facilitate team meetings with service providers to practice collaborative problem-solving and provide training to staff on issues related to area of specialty.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Services or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of direct service experience working with populations experiencing homelessness.
  • Skills: Experience and/or training working with mental health diagnoses, drug and alcohol dependency issues, and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Validations: Valid driver's license and fewer than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.

  • Salary: Starting salary range of $3,670 to $4,037 per month based on experience.
