Job Title: School-Age Child Care Site Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School-Age Child Care Site Coordinator to join our team at ROSCCO. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, structured, and quality program for children, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement recreational activity plans that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.
  • Follow a consistent schedule that includes small and large group experiences, choice time, music and movement, large and small motor activities, skill development, meals, and effective transitions between activities.
  • Encourage experimentation, exploration, problem-solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice-making; ask open-ended questions and listen respectfully to the answers.
  • Provide an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces parental involvement in the classroom.
  • Work with the school and ROSCCO in developing specialized plans if needed.
  • Coordinate support for students with special needs in the classroom and develop a collaborative approach that benefits all children.
  • Supervise and monitor children at all times.
  • Respond to crisis or emergency situations that may occur.
  • Maintain accurate reports and records related to program operation and licensing.
  • Participate in team meetings as needed to plan for and deliver collaborative services across all components.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of human development, family dynamics, and the needs of children.
  • Experience with children and families who may be at risk, have special needs, or gifted, and come from culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to apply Early Childhood Development, Education, or Human Development theory in daily classroom activities.
  • Excellent communications skills, especially good listening skills.
  • Competency in practicing healthy environment procedures.
