Job Title: Customer Service Representative

ACERTUS is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our Repossession team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, assigning follow-up tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and work on Excel spreadsheets to track and manage repossession assignments.
  • Input data into internal and 3rd party systems to ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Make and receive phone calls regarding repossession assignments, updates, and documents, and complete necessary follow-up and processing.
  • Ensure police notification calls are completed properly and within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Filter and distinguish emails regarding repossessions and pull multiple reports to consolidate data for use.
  • Update clients and agents directly as needed, and manage the flow of updates, requests, paperwork, and communication from clients and vendors.
  • Manage on-lot process for stored units and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business or related field a plus.
  • Proven experience in order entry or a similar administrative role, preferably within the automotive, repossession, or collections industry.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor in all communications on the phone and written communication externally or internally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret state-specific laws on third-party liens for storage and repairs, and knowledge of repossession industry practices and regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work according to deadlines, client, and company expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • PC Skills: Proficiency in using a computer along with order entry software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable with being on the phone in escalated situations.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
