Dining Services Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dining Services Coordinator to join our team at Shiprock Associated Schools, Inc.
Job OverviewThis role is responsible for overseeing the food preparation process, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service management, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to multitask.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Managing food preparation processes, including menu planning, inventory control, and ordering supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as nutritional guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate records, including production logs and inventory reports.
- Collaborating with staff to provide exceptional customer service and meet the dietary needs of students and faculty.
- Providing training and support to new staff members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in culinary arts or a related field preferred.
- One year of experience in food service management, preferably in a school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Knowledge of food handling techniques and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Familiarity with Navajo Nation laws and regulations, including those related to food handling and safety.
We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
