Traveling Vision Specialist

TLC Nursing Services is a reputable healthcare provider seeking a skilled and dedicated Traveling Vision Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis.
**Job Summary**
We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services in various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and deliver compassionate care.
**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per year
**Key Responsibilities**
• Perform thorough eye examinations to assess vision and eye health, diagnosing refractive errors and ocular conditions.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction solutions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and preventive measures to maintain optimal vision and overall eye care.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide referrals for specialized treatments when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care in compliance with facility protocols.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of all optometric equipment, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
**Qualifications**
• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure to practice as an Optometrist; ability to obtain licensure in multiple states is preferred.
• Previous experience in optometry, particularly in clinical settings, is preferred but not required.
