About the Role:

This CRNA role entails working in a variable schedule, typically arranged in advance (usually a minimum of two weeks) and approved by the Chief of the Anesthesia Department. Your key responsibilities will include attending outpatient clinic sessions, evaluating patient complaints, making diagnoses, designing treatment plans, educating patients and families about their conditions, and initiating care.

  • You will perform general anesthesia for elective, urgent, and emergent cases, providing sedation to include minimal, moderate, and deep sedation.
  • Provide anesthesia services for all age groups and degrees of disability, including trauma.
  • Prepare prescriptions accurately following federal and UP Public Health Service Laws and Policies.
  • Assure that drug therapy is safe, efficacious, and cost-effective, adhering to standards of care developed and adopted by the professional staff of the facility.

Your success in this role requires a strong foundation in anesthesia experience, with a minimum of 12 months in the specialty. You must be Board Certified and possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States. Additionally, you must maintain certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS throughout your employment.

The Northern Navajo Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of services, including internal medicine, family practice, urgent and emergency care, pediatrics, general surgery, women's health, mental health, respiratory therapy, outpatient rehabilitation services, pharmacy, optometry, dental, public health nursing, social services, health promotion/disease prevention, radiology, laboratory, and benefits coordination.

The center employs approximately 860 full-time employees, with a medical staff comprising 75 physicians and 24 mid-level providers.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $180,000 annually, based on national averages for similar roles in the region.
