Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Texas Skin Center - Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff in a fast-paced dermatology office setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and accurately document their medical information in our electronic medical record system.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including greeting patients, collecting co-pays, and processing medical records.
  • Input medication orders and discharge instructions, and complete prior authorizations for medications as required.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including injecting patients with steroids or local anesthetics, and assisting with in-office surgery.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology or related medical office setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong commitment to maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent patient care.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, as well as the ability to learn new software quickly.
