Key Responsibilities- Room patients and accurately document their medical information in our electronic medical record system.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including greeting patients, collecting co-pays, and processing medical records.
- Input medication orders and discharge instructions, and complete prior authorizations for medications as required.
- Perform various medical procedures, including injecting patients with steroids or local anesthetics, and assisting with in-office surgery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Minimum 12 months of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology or related medical office setting.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong commitment to maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent patient care.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and stay calm under pressure.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other medical software is highly preferred.
