Lead Instructor for Medical Assistant Program | Full-Time
As a Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for guiding and implementing the Medical Assistant curriculum to effectively educate students in alignment with established standards and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Organize and facilitate Advisory Board Meetings to address externship issues, monitor student progress, evaluate outcomes, and communicate community feedback to the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Campus Director.

Prepare meeting agendas, lead discussions, and document minutes of the meetings.

Review and recommend updates to curriculum and textbooks during program revision cycles in collaboration with the Corporate Education Department.

Support Career Services by maintaining regular communication with externship sites and overseeing students' clinical experiences.

Assist in onboarding new faculty and provide mentorship to the instructional team.

Manage inventory and procurement of educational supplies and equipment.

Track graduate certification pass rates as needed.

Contribute to the annual review and update of the Program Effectiveness Plan (PEP).



TEACHING DUTIES:


Design and deliver tailored lesson plans across various subjects, employing diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning preferences.

Plan instructional activities to meet specific educational objectives based on student needs and the established curriculum.

Engage in student recruitment, registration, and placement initiatives.

Assess and grade student assignments and coursework promptly, within 72 hours.

Address academic or behavioral concerns with students as they arise and communicate with the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator.

Maintain regular office hours for student advisement and support.

Oversee students during their externship experiences.

Regularly review and propose updates to course materials, including syllabi and assignments.

Participate in faculty meetings, advisory board discussions, professional development workshops, and graduation ceremonies.

Complete necessary documentation for student records, including attendance and incident reports.

Coordinate guest speakers, community service projects, and visits to healthcare facilities.

Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols for students, staff, and visitors.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA, or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience for instructors not graduating from an accredited program.
Three (3) years of full-time practical experience in a healthcare setting, including at least 40 hours in an ambulatory healthcare environment.
Prior classroom teaching experience is required.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess a current, unencumbered registration or certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency (CMA or RMA).

If applicable, must also hold any necessary licenses, certifications, or credentials as mandated by local, state, and federal regulations to work in the field.
