Position Overview:

At Vail Resorts, service is at the core of our mission, and our Lift Operations team exemplifies this commitment. As a Lift Operations Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of resort lifts while delivering exceptional guest service and demonstrating strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily lift operations, including staff scheduling and procedures for lift opening and closing
  • Assist in the recruitment, support, and training of lift operators in daily functions and safety protocols
  • Evaluate and document lift operator performance, providing constructive feedback and recognition as needed
  • Stay informed of and enforce all relevant laws, policies, and procedures to guarantee guest safety
  • Collaborate closely with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and electrical teams to address any issues that arise
  • Promote a clean and organized work environment
  • Address guest inquiries, comments, and complaints, ensuring timely resolutions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in lift or mountain operations preferred
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
The expected pay range is $23.04. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this role. Individual pay decisions are influenced by various factors.
