The Outdoor Retail Sales Specialist engages in various customer service and sales activities, which include warmly welcoming and assisting all customers in a timely and friendly manner, handling products with care, and providing valuable information and guidance to shoppers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and productive shopping experience for every visitor.

Ensures a welcoming and efficient shopping environment for all customers.
Showcases products to customers effectively.
Restocks shelves according to merchandising standards as needed.
Maintains expertise in product knowledge through continuous training.
Stays informed about promotional sales; upholds pricing and signage accuracy.
Assists with seasonal merchandise transitions on the sales floor.
Restocks items as necessary.
Keeps the workspace organized, tidy, and well-supplied.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Delivers an outstanding experience for every customer by helping them make informed purchasing decisions through: identifying and assessing customer needs,
making tailored product recommendations,
and promoting programs such as membership options and in-store services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education Required:
High School diploma or equivalent experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to calculate discounts and provide accurate change to customers
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and colleagues
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers
Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts
Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Consistently communicate with others to exchange information
Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
Occasionally drive motor vehicles or heavy equipment
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds frequently, may occasionally lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (using team assistance as needed)
Occasionally work in confined spaces
Occasionally work in noisy environments

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
Completes tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovative thinking. Selects from limited options to resolve issues. Occasionally requires independent judgment to fulfill work assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
