Patient Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our Ortho/Neuro Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily living activities for patients and assist with unit activities that support patient care.
- Facilitate a safe and clean working environment and contribute to the health and safety of patients.
- Recognize and report changing patient care needs to registered nurses.
- Document findings and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide emotional and physical comfort to patients and maintain a safe environment.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistants with 3 years of experience in an acute care facility or 5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or sub-acute setting.
- Nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program who have completed the first semester.
- A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Basic computer knowledge preferred.
