Job Summary

The Hospice of Darke County seeks a highly motivated Spiritual Care Coordinator to provide emotional and spiritual support to our patients and their families. This role is responsible for assessing the spiritual needs of patients, developing individualized care plans, and providing education to employees and community members on spiritual care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive spiritual assessments and create personalized care plans for patients and families.
  • Provide spiritual support to patients and families, including counseling, prayer, Bible reading, and sacraments as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient and family concerns.
  • Develop and implement educational programs on spiritual care and support for staff, volunteers, and the community.
  • Participate in funerals and memorial services, or assist families in finding alternative arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree from an accredited theological seminary or school of divinity.
  • Clinical pastoral education (CPE) accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pastoral care ministry, with a focus on healthcare and hospice settings.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other sites as needed.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
