Key Responsibilities
The Client Success Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role within the sales leadership team, focusing on the onboarding of new team members through comprehensive product and system training. This position also involves assisting in the management of the sales team to ensure prompt and effective client responses while empowering team members to make informed decisions as their expertise develops.
This role encompasses guiding the team in account management, overseeing sales processes from initiation to closure, ensuring order accuracy within our systems, and addressing inventory inquiries. The position demands swift, data-driven decision-making and collaboration with clients and sales consultants, as well as partnership with various departments to enhance customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager is tasked with strengthening client relationships, analyzing account growth, coaching team members in strategic decision-making, driving revenue, and aligning long-term objectives with the company's vision and values. A proven track record in personal sales or managing substantial revenue budgets is essential. Effective communication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude are critical for success in this role. The position reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Daily Activities
- Manage staff scheduling to meet operational needs.
- Assist in finalizing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Become proficient in Point of Rental, Salesforce, Vonage, and Power BI.
- Provide guidance and solutions to the sales team for informed client decisions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members into future leaders in the event industry.
- Observe and coach sales staff to enhance workflow efficiencies.
- Collaborate with the sales team on client account evaluations.
- Create workflows and reports utilizing Salesforce and Vonage.
- Support order entry and phone assistance as required.
- Contribute to sales meetings and ongoing training presentations.
- Work alongside senior management to devise strategies and meet sales targets.
- Oversee training schedules for new hires and provide retraining as necessary.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with goal-setting and performance evaluations.
- Engage with all departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role within the hotel, venue, or event sectors.
- 5+ years of experience in the event rental industry is advantageous.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
- Strong dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Understanding of operations in high-volume environments and the integration of sales strategies.
- Familiarity with the event planning process and the execution of successful events.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
- Demonstrated flexibility and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven negotiation skills and confidence in client interactions.
