Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to residents in post-acute care facilities, including vital sign checks and regular reporting to the nursing team
  • Observe residents' conditions and alert supervising staff to any concerns or emergencies
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, grooming, and feeding
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for residents, including changing linens and sanitizing surfaces
  • Communicate with family members and other visitors, addressing their concerns and providing daily companionship and comfort to residents
  • Move residents safely and comfortably to and from exam tables, beds, and wheelchairs, repositioning them as needed

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and nursing care procedures
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Effective organizational skills and communication skills
  • Appropriate bedside manner
