Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering Operations to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring that our facilities are safe, secure, and meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Engineering Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, including managing budgets, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering operations, including reducing costs and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the Emergency Response Team: Lead the emergency response team for all facility issues, ensuring that our properties are prepared for and respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage Controllable Expenses: Manage controllable expenses, including wages, heat, light and power, water consumption, tools and equipment, grounds keeping supplies, uniforms, vendors, service agreements, and inventory.
  • Develop and Manage Engineering Budget: Develop and manage the engineering budget, ensuring that we are operating within budget and making adjustments as needed to meet our financial goals.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, including maintaining property life safety systems, ensuring building and equipment licenses, permits, and certifications are current, and ensuring property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
  • OR: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
What We Offer
