Job Summary

The Project Engineer will play a critical role in the execution of our projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with laws, codes, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines to update project design, permitting, and construction documents.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to drive long-term mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Work with permitting agencies to obtain construction permits that align with project schedules and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with procurement, scheduling, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure design criteria and permitting requirements are met.
  • Maintain engineering and design documentation through the project-specific document control platform.
  • Identify critical constraints and develop contingency plans with the project team.
  • Ensure engineering work complies with regulatory, applicable codes, standards, and safety practices.
  • Assist procurement in determining quantities, lead times, and applicability of selected equipment and materials.
  • Participate in customer meetings and presentations.
  • Manage and supervise Field Engineers, applying Principle-Based Management philosophy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Project engineering experience in capital projects.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Basic understanding of prime contract and subcontract language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Utility scale solar experience.
  • EPC experience.
  • Project engineering experience in solar and/or battery storage.

Compensation and Benefits

DEPCOM Power offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 per year, with variable pay opportunities. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, and health savings accounts, life insurance, ADD, disability, retirement, paid vacation/time off, educational assistance, and more.
